The Tour de France 2024 in Dévoluy

July 17 and 18, 2024

The Tour de France returns to Le Dévoluy in 2024, with not one, but two consecutive passes! The 111th most famous bicycle race in the world will be putting on a show in Le Dévoluy, with a passage over the Col du Noyer and the finish in Superdévoluy on the first day, followed by a passage over the Col du Festre on the second.

Important

  • From July 15 to 16 until 2pm, parking possible in Superdévoluy for daily commuters;
  • From 6pm on July 16, no traffic between the Giers bridge and Superdévoluy, except with authorization;
  • No motorized traffic on July 17, until 6pm (subject to authorization from the Prefecture).
  • On July 17, shuttle service from 6am to 11:30am and from 7pm to 12:30am between Joue du Loup (near O’dycéa) and Superdévoluy (Chalets Margot roundabout), with a stop at Saint-Étienne en Dévoluy (Tourist Office). Dogs allowed, on laps for small ones, muzzled for larger ones;
  • On July 17, there will be no restrictions on pedestrians or bicycles before 12:30 pm. It will be possible to walk or cycle up to Superdévoluy or Col du Noyer before this time.
  • Dedicated motorhome parking at Saint-Étienne en Dévoluy ;
  • On July 18, closure of the D937 at Boutariq and the D17 at Col de Rioupes at 10am. Closure of D17 (and D117) at Pont de Giers at 11:30am. Reopening at 3:30pm.

-9am to 6pm: entertainment village*, refreshment bar and snack bar
-15h17: Caravan passes Col du Noyer
-3:36 pm: caravan arrives in Superdévoluy
-4:52 p.m.: Riders pass over the Col du Noyer
-5:09pm: stage finish in Superdévoluy
-6pm: DJ night
  • On the snow front, with Sound of Legend, Laurent Wolf and Dj Siks

-10:30 pm: fireworks

Producers and craftsmen from Devolu and the wider Alps will be on hand to offer charcuterie, cheese, bread, honey, beer and more.

The Mobil’idées association “+ de vélo, – d’auto” will be putting on a variety of fun bike-related activities, including a merry-go-round, smoothie-making and crazy bike testing.

The Dévoluy sports center team will be offering draisienne courses for the very young.

For the youngest visitors, Pasquier will be offering coloring workshops, board games and a variety of challenges to help them take home their favorite brioche.

In order to best organize this major event and give the public the warmest possible welcome, the Dévoluy commune is looking for a team of volunteers.
There are many positions to fill, including providing information to the public, managing parking areas, welcoming journalists, organizing shuttles, etc.

  • On July 17, shuttle service from 6am to 11:30am and from 7pm to 12:30am between Joue du Loup (near O’dycéa) and Superdévoluy (Chalets Margot roundabout), with a stop in Saint-Étienne en Dévoluy (Tourist Office). Dogs allowed, on laps for small ones, muzzled for larger ones;
  • On July 17, there will be no restrictions on pedestrians or bicycles before 12:30 pm. It will be possible to walk or cycle up to Superdévoluy or Col du Noyer before this time.
  • Dedicated motorhome parking at Saint-Étienne en Dévoluy, opposite the Tourist Office;
  • On July 18, closure of D937 at Boutariq and D17 at Col de Rioupes at 10am. Closure of D17 (and D117) at Pont de Giers at 11:30am.
  • All parking lots in Superdévoluy will be evacuated on July 16. All vehicles must park at Joue du Loup (unless special authorization is granted by the town hall).
  • A shuttle bus will take spectators to Superdévoluy from 6am to 11.30am. Return to La Joue du Loup/en vallée from 7pm to 12:30am.
  • Access is possible on foot or mountain bike via the Collet du Tât via a specially signposted route (5.5km and 220m ascent) or via the Fontettes telemix.
  • A guarded bike park allows you to park your mountain bike on the Superdévoluy snow front.
