Have you ever travelled underground? La Tune’s via souterrata will surprise you with its environment.
The walk to the entrance to the chourum takes just half an hour on sunny days, and a little over an hour if there’s snow on the ground. Free parking is available at the Superdévoluy entrance to the resort. From there, signs will take you to the activity site.
Do you have all the necessary equipment?
Not too fancy an outfit :), a helmet, a harness and a headlamp are the minimum requirements, and will be provided by your guide.
By headlamp light, and at a constant temperature of 10 degrees, you progress along a 300 to 500 metre long circuit. It may sound short, but between catwalks, monkey bridges and rungs, the whole crossing can take around 1h30.
This sporty, fun adventure must be undertaken with professionals who will guide you and provide you with the necessary equipment. A great opportunity to learn about geology, hydrology, archaeology and cave fauna.
The via souterrata offers two routes in the heart of the Trous de la Tune. The via souterrata is designed to be light, so don’t hesitate to look for and use natural holds in the rock. Along the way, there are a number of fun breaks to help you discover the underground world.
A film by André Borel.
When a child of Dévoluy decides to share his love for his massif with his grandson, the result is “De l’ombre à la lumière”.
André Borel, the film’s author and a writer (he has already published 2 books on the Dévoluy), offers us a new way of discovering the massif, this time from its guts, in the heart of the chourums of Bure country.
This film is an initiatory journey through the earth’s crust of a massif that has yet to reveal all its secrets.
